In the vicinity of Valdilecha there are two very different types of countryside. On the one hand, there is the plain in the higher part of the town. The plain is where crops are cultivated; this means that each season offers different colouring; it is the “open country” rising above the valleys of the Jarama, Tajuña and Henares Rivers. On the other side are the river flats, close to the Tajuña. Here the ground is uneven with natural passes between hills and gullies. There are a lot of vines and olive trees.
The network of farming tracks offers the opportunity of many different walks in the area. Peña del Reloj, La Dehesilla, El Pinar, La Cárcava... are places you will come across walking along these paths.
You can get to know the neighbourhood of Valdilecha either on foot or bicycle along sign-posted paths and you will find more information about the El Pinar and El Trebolar Routes in the section “Routes”. There are also the La Dehesilla, El Cereal and Las Fuentes Routes where you will find some enchanting spots.
